CONTEMPORARY - Kiera Sanderson

CLASS DISCRIPTION:

Creative, open & available to all bodies :)

Kiera’s workshop will utilise elements of grounding, improvisation and floor work to explore notions of self and humanity. 

Through an embodied approach to improvisation, Kiera’s class permits the unexpected and allows you to experience authentic movement and connect with others. 

BIO:

Kiera trained at Falmouth university where she was exposed to contemporary and ballet technique including Graham, Cunningham, release technique and floorwork as well as refining her improvisation skills and conceptual choreography.

Since graduating Kiera has had roles performing and choreographing in company’s such as Yskynna Vertical Dance, Blue Freckle Company and Neon Dance. She has also been a part of multiple R&D projects including residency’s with Daniel Longhurst and DanceXChange Birmingham. Kiera has since returned to Falmouth University where in collaboration with Boon Wongpaisan, she led workshops with all three years on the Dance and Choreography course. Kiera continues to grow and develop her practice through seeking space and funding to collaborate and explore with other dance artists. 

ACCESS:

DMU PACE buliding has a lift up to the studios as a well as an accessible toilet. We will be in studio 1.

Parking wise...

CAR PARKING & DIRECTIONS

Studio 4 is wheelchair accessible

However, 

There is NO parking directly outside of PACE building.

The Newark or the Gateway roads have free parking after 6pm.

Alternativly car parking will be available in the main DMU visitor car park located at LE2 7DP.
