About Us

We are a small but loveable team of dance freelancers. Scroll down to find out about LPI's core team :)

The first stage of LPI is launching a varied professional class programme in Leicester. We hope to give dancers the opportunity to train & network - leading to the sharing of opportunities & work. Professional development is something we hope will become the core of LPI. We have some exciting opportunities lined up which are top secret at the moment! Watch this space!

Meet The Team

Some words from Louise Katerega....

“I couldn’t be more excited to be part of Leicester Pro-Dance Initiative. It’s scale and variety is new and much needed for the city and yet it also continues a tradition of welcome and acceptance I certainly felt when I arrived here 20 years ago. Shout out to the professional dance community which has always existed here, to the generations had to leave for lack of infrastructure and now to a new generation, especially Lisa for the incredible graft she undertook to get it all to this point. .

Here at last is a proper, regular mechanism through which we can work together for a better future for dance in our lives, our livelihoods and the life of the city. Whatever your style, whatever your needs, whether your dancing takes root here or you are just passing through,

I hope LDPI comes to feel like home for all dancers in Leicester.”

A big thank-you to our partners...
