CONTEMPORARY - Anand (Boon) Wongpaisan

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Floor work, Raw and instinctual movement. Sweaty, Intense and a dynamic class in a judgment free space. Everyone in space will be encouraged to move in ways to “inspire themselves, form questions, stay curious and move from a place of pure instinct and expression.”

BIO:

Returning to Thailand after graduation, Boon had further professional training with Jitti Chompeewhile working for the ‘Unfolding Kafka Festival, 2019.’ He has been part of a Pas da Deux with Menghan Lou in 'Pose & Candor' at HOSTBKK.

Soon after, he became a performer for 18 Monkeys Dance Theatre in late 2019 and has then been in video projects led by Than Phu Ying Sirikitiya Jensen and Silpakorn Performing Arts and Fine Arts Department, in the videos 'Thread,' 'Untold Stories,' (2020), and the company production 'Melancholy of Demon' in 2021.

Recently Boon has been a part of multiple R&D projects and Leading spaces in the UK at Dance4, Level Art Centre, and at Falmouth University with dance artists Kiera Sanderson, Daniel Longhurst, and Kyra Norman.
